With the textiles industry in Japan producing over 9 million square meters of substandard fabric in a year, upcycling in the industry is a must.
As the recycling of textiles is not commonplace, burning the waste is common. With 1.92 million tonnes of CO2 emissions emitted every year from burning this waste, NUNOUS® utilising this waste fabric reduces the number of pieces being sent for burning, reducing the CO2 output.
As a veneer, the NUNOUS® range lends itself to a wide range of applications, only limited by your imagination. The flexibility lends itself well to bags, phone cases, and even watch straps. Whether featured as a stand-out accessory, or a subtle touch of sophistication to an outfit, there is no limit to its uses.
You can also use a block of NUNOUS®, to engrave or CNC your designs to life. Why not route out the block to fit an LED light, or form the block into a sphere, to create a unique, layered shape?
The NUNOUS® range comes boxed for your convenience.
The options are limitless for installing NUNOUS®. You can adhere it to an MDF board, that can be used as a panel, or form the veneer to any shape you desire.
We do not offer custom sizes for the NUNOUS® range at this time.
You can! The NUNOUS® range comes unfinished, and can be treated to be water and fire-resistant as required.
The NUNOUS® range is designed for interior use only.
The best adhesive to use varies depending on the substrate you're apply the NUNOUS® Skin to, but generally a wood glue or PVA glue will be best for adhering to wooden surfaces.
