Overview

Meet the Acupanel® Glow Orb: a wall-mountable rechargeable LED light with a frosted opal glass globe suspended from a rigid gooseneck arm, designed to bring the warmth and presence of a considered decorative fitting to any panel wall. Available in textured black and matt gold.

The Orb is the most distinctive of the four Glow Wall-Mountable designs, and the only one that functions as a recognisable light fitting in its own right. A rectangular wall-mount plate sits against the panel, from which a gooseneck arm extends outward, then curves back to hold the frosted glass globe. The globe itself is a smooth, opalescent sphere: warm and diffuse when lit, sculptural and considered when off. At 158 lumens, the Orb has the highest output in the range, and the quality of light through the frosted glass is soft and even, without hotspots or directional glare. In textured black, the arm and mount read as bold and graphic against lighter panels. In matt gold, the warm metal and frosted white globe create a combination that sits naturally alongside oak, linen, and organic palettes. Three-stage touch dimming at 10%, 50%, and 100% brings it from a focused accent to a primary light source in a smaller space.

Compatible with the full interior Acupanel® acoustic range, including Luxe. Two brackets included: one for 10mm slat gaps (Luxe), one for 13mm (standard). No hardwiring required.

Acupanel® Glow Wall-Mountable FAQs

What is the Acupanel® Glow Wall-Mountable range?

The Glow Wall-Mountable range is a collection of four rechargeable LED wall lights, designed to work with interior Acupanel® acoustic panels. Each light has a distinct form: the Column is a smooth half-cylinder that casts light from both open ends; the Frame is a flat rectangle with recessed LEDs; the Disc is a flat circular face that sits almost flush against the panel; and the Orb is a frosted glass globe on a rigid gooseneck arm. All four are available in textured black or matt gold, share the same 2800K warm white output and three-stage touch dimming, and charge via USB-B to USB-C. No hardwiring. No trailing cables.

Which panels are the lights compatible with?

The Glow Wall-Mountable range is designed for use with the interior Acupanel® acoustic panel range only. It is not compatible with Hydro, Ultraflex, Flutto®, or Plaank® panels.

Two brackets are included to cover different slat gap sizes. Use the narrower bracket for Acupanel® Luxe panels (10mm slat gap), and the wider bracket for all other compatible interior Acupanel® acoustic panels (13mm slat gap). If you are unsure which panel you have, contact our care team before ordering.

What is the difference between the Glow Strips, the Glow Beam, and the Glow Wall-Mountable ranges?

Three distinct products, each suited to a different way of lighting your panel wall.

Glow Strips are LED strips that sit directly in the slat channel between panels. They are almost invisible when off and produce a continuous line of light that runs with the grain. The most integrated option: the light feels like part of the panel rather than an add-on.

The Glow Beam is a rechargeable accent light that screws into the gap between slats via a magnetic ball-bearing base. It is designed for directional, spotlit warmth: highlighting artwork, a shelf, or a section of panelling. Sold individually, easily removed for charging.

The Glow Wall-Mountable range (Column, Frame, Disc, and Orb) mounts between the panel slats using the included brackets. These are the most prominent of the three options, functioning as considered light fittings in their own right and adding both light and material interest to the wall.

What comes in the box?

Each Glow Wall-Mountable light ships with everything needed to get it on the wall: the light unit, the USB-A to USB-C charging cable, two panel brackets, and a set of installation instructions.

The Orb has one addition: the frosted glass globe is packed in a separate inner box inside the branded outer packaging for extra protection in transit. Everything is still in one delivery.

What are the lights designed for?

Accent lighting and atmosphere. The Glow Wall-Mountable range is designed to complement your panel wall rather than illuminate a room. Think of them as the layer of light that makes the space feel considered at the end of the day: the warm wash across the grain of the timber, the glow that changes how the room feels at 6pm. They are not a replacement for a ceiling light or a primary light source.

Do you offer delivery?

We offer free delivery to mainland UK on most orders. Delivery to Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, and offshore islands incurs a surcharge calculated at checkout. You are also welcome to collect from our warehouse in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.

Are the lights cordless?

Yes. The Column, Frame, Disc, and Orb are all fully rechargeable and require no fixed wiring or mains connection. Each light lifts clear of its French Cleat bracket, charges via the included USB-A to USB-C cable, and hangs straight back on the wall once charged. No electrician, no trailing cables, no permanent commitment to a position on the wall.

What finishes are available?

Textured black and matt gold, across all four designs. Both are powder-coated steel, built to hold the finish over time. The choice will depend on the panel, the room palette, and whether you want the light to recede into the wall or read as a deliberate material addition.

How does the charging work?

Each light charges via the included USB-A to USB-C cable. The Li-Ion battery has a capacity of 2 x 2000mAh and a rated life of three years under normal use. Input voltage is 5V DC. To charge, remove the light from its bracket, connect the cable to a 5V power source, and recharge before reinstalling.

Can I keep the light on the wall while it is charging?

Technically, yes, if the cable reaches a nearby outlet and the light remains on the bracket. In practice, we recommend taking the light down to charge. It should always be switched off during charging to preserve the battery and extend its life over time. Once fully charged, rehang it and it is ready to use.

How do I mount the lights to my panel wall?

Two brackets are included in each box, but only one is used per installation. The bracket is a French Cleat design: fix it between the panel slats with the thinner edge facing upward, then hang the light onto it from above. Fitting the bracket the wrong way will prevent the light from sitting correctly on the wall.

Choose your bracket based on the slat gap of your panel: use the narrower bracket for the 10mm gap found on Acupanel® Luxe panels, and the wider bracket for the 13mm gap on all other compatible interior Acupanel® acoustic panels. No hardwiring is required.

Can I use these lights on a plain wall without panels?

Yes. The included brackets are designed for Acupanel® acoustic panels, but the lights can be mounted to a plain wall using appropriate fixings for the substrate. The aesthetic is best suited to a panel wall, but the product can be used on any flat interior surface.

How does the dimming work?

All four lights feature three-stage touch dimming: 10%, 50%, and 100% brightness. A single touch to the light cycles through the three settings. No remote is required, though the mood each setting creates is distinct enough that it is worth spending time with all three before settling on a favourite.

What colour temperature do the lights produce?

All four lights output at 2800K, a warm white that sits at the intimate end of the spectrum. It is a considered choice for panel walls: warm enough to draw out the grain and texture of natural wood without casting the room in an amber that makes other colours read incorrectly. CRI ranges from 80 on the Orb to 82 on the Frame, meaning colours in the room read true under the light.

Can the Wall-Mountable lights be used as a reading light?

They can provide a warm, localised glow, but they are not designed or positioned as task lighting. The 2800K output and lumen range across the four designs (83 to 158 lumens) makes them well-suited to accent and ambient use. For reading, you will want a dedicated task light alongside them.

Are these lights suitable for bathrooms or kitchens?

No. All four lights carry an IP20 rating, meaning they are suitable for indoor dry use only. They should not be installed in bathrooms, near steam sources, or anywhere with significant moisture or humidity. The optimal operating temperature is 15 to 25 degrees Celsius.

Are the lights safe to leave on overnight?

The lights are designed for ambient use and are safe to leave on, but we would not recommend leaving any rechargeable light unattended for extended periods. For overnight ambience, the 10% setting gives the warmest, most considered glow and makes the most of the battery. Switch off before sleeping to preserve the battery life over time.

Can the Wall-Mountable lights be paired with a smart device, Wi-Fi, or a smart home system?

No. The lights are not compatible with smart home systems, Wi-Fi, or app control. They operate independently via touch dimming only. For a considered lighting setup, that simplicity is part of the appeal: one touch, the right mood, nothing else to configure.

Do the Wall-Mountable lights work with a remote?

No. All four lights are controlled by a single touch on the unit itself, which cycles through 10%, 50%, and 100% brightness. There is no remote, and none is required.

How long does a single charge last?

It depends on the brightness setting. On the lowest setting (10%), used for three to four hours at a time, a single charge can last up to a month. The higher the brightness and the longer each session, the more frequently you will need to charge. For everyday ambient use at a lower setting, charging is an occasional task rather than a regular one.

What is the battery life expectancy?

The Li-Ion battery is rated for a 3-year lifespan under normal use. The lights also carry a three-year manufacturer's warranty. If the battery degrades before the end of the warranty period, contact the team.

Can I buy replacement brackets or cables?

Contact the team directly if you need replacement parts. We can advise on availability and arrange what is needed.

What should I do if my light stops working?

First, check the battery level by attempting to charge the light via the USB-A to USB-C cable. If the light does not respond after a full charge, check the bracket is correctly oriented (thinner edge facing upward) and the light is fully seated. If the issue persists, contact the team with your order number. If the light is within the three-year warranty period, we will arrange a resolution.

What is the warranty on the Glow Wall-Mountable lights?

Each light comes with a three-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. The Li-Ion battery is also rated to a three-year life expectancy under normal use. If you experience any issues within the warranty period, contact the team with your order details and we will help resolve it.
