Overview
Timberstik guarantees to transform your space with its range of rustic real wood finishes. Sustainability sourced and designed by interior experts, the TimberStik panels make for a perfect product if looking to transform that room into something special.
TimberStik requires no remedial work; all cleaning, sizing, and finishing have already been completed. Not only does this save you valuable time, but it also ensures consistent levels of quality, patina, and colour. Designed with ease of installation in mind, the panelling features peel and stick strips on the back. Suitable for installing on most interior surfaces, the TimberStik range is a simple way to redefine your space.
How to Install
The TimberStik panels are fitted with a PSA backing, often known as a peel and stick, or pressure sensitive adhesive backing. Peel and stick panelling is great for a renter-friendly, temporary solution, but can be made permanent if you use a fast-drying grab adhesive or glue when installing. Read below for a quick guide on installing these panels:
-
Prepare your surface: Your surface should be flat, dry, and clear of dirt, dust and debris. Avoid installing on glossy or oil-based paints, as this can degrade the peel and stick backing. Do not install near water, high-humidity or heat sources, as this will also degrade the adhesive and panels. You may find a light sanding of the wall can help with the panel adhesion.
-
Measure your space: ensure you have enough panelling to cover your space. We recommend allowing an extra 10% for wastage and cutting the panels to fit.
-
Cut your panels: cut down any panels as required. We recommend cutting from the front face of the panel, and using masking tape along where you plan to cut to reduce the amount of splintering on the surface. Any saw will cut through these panels, although we advise using a sharp, fine-tooth blade for the cleanest cut.
-
Stick your panels in place: peel off the red backing to reveal the adhesive, and press the panel in place on your wall. If you plan to add additional adhesive to make the panels stay in place permanently, or to reinforce the adhesion, apply liberally on the back between the adhesive strips, and apply to the wall. Apply even pressure to ensure a strong adhesion.
-
Repeat step 4 step to cover your space: a simple, quick install! When installing multiple panels, we recommend allowing a small expansion gap between each panel, to allow for heat changes. 1mm is typically enough space.
