The widget is a small metal fitting that sits between the slat gaps on your Acupanel^® panel. Once in position, you rotate it 90 degrees so the wings lock-in behind the slats, locking it loosely in place. For shelves, you then slot the shelf onto the widget stems and tighten the screw caps using the included hex key. The cap locks the shelf in firmly between the cap and the panel. For the Turned Hanger, the disc threads onto the widget stem and is secured the same way. A clean fixing point with no screws into the wall and no marks on the panel surface.

It depends on the product.

The four widget-mounted shelves (Small Shelf, Large Shelf, Shelf with Pegs, Shelf with Hooks) each include a hex key, 2 x widgets, and 2 x widget caps in the box. No additional fixings are needed.

The Turned Hangers (Oak, Walnut, Black Oak) each include a hex key and 1 x widget. Again, nothing else is needed.

The screw-based shelves in the existing range (Double Shelf, Shelf with Four Hooks, Shelf with Five Hooks, Shoe Shelf) include screws and wall plugs. Installation requires screwing into the felt backing between the slats.

Screw-based hooks and mounts (Black Wall Hooks 2pk, Black Universal Wall Bracket 2pk, Silver Universal Vertical Mount 2pk) do not include fixings. Compatible screws are available separately.

Storage and display accessories (Storage Cup, Three Storage Cups, Storage Grid with Four Hooks, Memo Board, Magnetic Board with Shelf) do not include fixings. Compatible screws are available separately.

Glow lighting accessories (Glow Strips, Glow Beam, Glow Wall-Mountable range) include product-specific mounting hardware. The Glow Wall-Mountable lights include two French Cleat brackets per unit. Refer to the individual product pages for full details.

Installation varies by product type. For the widget-mounted shelves and Turned Hangers, the process takes a few minutes and requires no drilling beyond the slat gaps on your panel. Measure and mark the position, fit the widgets between the slats, mount the accessory onto the widget stems, and tighten the screw caps with the included hex key.

For the screw-based accessories in the existing range, installation involves screwing directly into the felt backing between the slats using a screwdriver or hand drill.

The Acupanel^® accessories range is compatible with the standard interior Acupanel^® acoustic range: Acupanel^® Acoustic Wood and Acupanel^® Acoustic Colour panels.

They are not compatible with Plaank^®, Flutto^®, Hydro, Ultraflex, Luxe Plus, or Fire-Rated panels.

The accessories are designed primarily for use on Acupanel^® panel walls. The widget-mounted shelves and Turned Hangers require a slat gap to locate the widget, so they cannot be used on a plain wall.

The screw-based accessories in the existing range are designed to screw into the felt backing between the slats, but can also be installed on other flat, dry surfaces such as plasterboard or concrete if needed. In this case, you may need alternative fixings appropriate for the substrate rather than the screws included in the box.

All accessories are designed for interior use only.

The accessories can be used in bathrooms and kitchens, but with care. They are suitable for areas where occasional moisture is present, but should not be installed in areas of prolonged high heat or humidity. Over time, exposure to steam, direct water, or persistent moisture will degrade both the powder-coated steel finish and, on the Turned Hangers, the wood veneer surface.

For kitchens, avoid positioning accessories directly above a hob or near a steam source. For bathrooms, keep accessories away from the shower or bath zone.

No. All accessories in the Acupanel^® range are designed for interior use only. Outdoor conditions, including rain, UV exposure, temperature variation, and humidity, will damage the finish over time. Do not install outside.

The accessories are only available in the sizes listed on the website. They are not designed to be cut down or extended. If you need a larger surface area, the Large Shelf at 400mm is the longest shelf in the new range. The existing screw-based range includes additional shelf formats and storage options that may suit different needs.

The widget-mounted shelves and Turned Hangers in this range have been tested to hold up to 10kg each. This is double the load capacity of the existing screw-based accessories in the Acupanel^® range, which are rated to 5kg.

Distribute weight evenly where possible and do not use any accessory for structural or safety-critical purposes.

Yes, with some caveats. The widget system is designed to be removable: loosen the bolt with the hex key, rotate the widget back to the insertion position, and slide it out of the slat channel. The panel is left with a small pin hole that is hardly visible, and you can reposition the accessory elsewhere.

The screw-based accessories in the existing range are not as straightforward to reposition. Removing a screwed accessory leaves the screw holes in the felt backing. These are generally not visible once the accessory is removed, but the holes remain. If you are likely to want to move an accessory, the widget-mounted options are the better choice.

The majority of the Acupanel^® accessories range is available in black powder-coated steel only. This includes all four widget-mounted shelves, the screw-based shelves, hooks, brackets, boards, and storage accessories.

The Turned Hangers are available in three real wood veneer finishes: oak, walnut, and black oak. All three use real wood veneer across the disc body, with a metal interior for structural strength.

The Glow Wall-Mountable lighting range is available in textured black and matt gold mild steel. See the Glow Wall-Mountable product pages for full finish details.

The Glow LED strips, including the Decorative packs and RGB lighting, are available with a frosted black front finish, making them invisible when off, and a statement when on.

The Silver Universal Vertical Mount is available in silver, as an alternative to the black bracket option.

EVA felt is a dense, soft material used to line the inside surface of each of the four new widget-mounted shelves. It keeps objects from sliding, and protects the underside of whatever sits on it from direct contact with the steel body, causing scratches and unwanted wear and tear. The felt is black, colour-matched to the shelf finish, and sits on the inside surface only. The exterior of the shelf is textured powder-coated steel.
