Overview

Meet the Flutto® Valley in walnut: a flexible wood veneer wall panel with a concave tambour profile, developed in collaboration with Drew & Jonathan Home™ for WVH®.

Most wall panels stop at flat surfaces. The Flutto® Valley does not. Its flexible construction allows it to conform to convex curves, wrapping columns and curved walls that rigid panels simply cannot follow. The concave valley slat draws shadow inward, adding genuine depth and texture. In walnut, that texture is richer and more deliberate: a darker grain with real presence, for rooms that ask for something considered.

Each panel features 11 slats over an MDF core, finished with a water-resistant, colour-matched fabric backing. Two panels per box, in 240 x 30cm or 300 x 30cm. Installation is adhesive-only: no rails, no clips, no visible fixings. Part of the Flutto® family, alongside Ridge, Mini Ridge, and Slat. Free UK delivery available.

Installation & Downloads

Installation is straightforward. Ensure the wall is clean, dry, and flat, then apply grab adhesive to the back of the panel in a zigzag pattern and press firmly into position. For convex curved surfaces, flex the panel gradually from the centre outward. The Flutto® Valley is a concave profile and can only follow convex curves. Butt each subsequent panel tight to the last, trim to size with a fine-tooth saw cutting from the face side, and allow the adhesive to cure fully before use. No rails, no clips, no visible fixings.

Flutto® Valley FAQs

How do the panels arrive?

The Flutto® wall panels are shipped in boxes - these come with two panels per box, as ordered.

What sizes are available?

The Flutto® Valley comes in two sizes: 240 x 30cm and 300 x 30cm. Each box contains two panels. Choose the longer format for fewer joins on a tall wall, or the shorter for easier handling in tighter spaces.

Which finishes can I order?

Oak and walnut. Both feature a real wood veneer wrapped over the MDF core, with the fabric backing colour-matched to the face. Order a free sample first. The grain varies between boards in the way real wood always does, and it is better to feel that in your hands before you commit to a full wall.

How do I install the panels?

Adhesive to the wall, panel to the adhesive. No rails, no clips, no visible fixings. The full installation guide is linked here. The surface needs to be clean, dry, and flat. Allow 48 hours for the panels to acclimatise before installation.

Can I cut the panels to size?

Yes. Use a sharp, fine-tooth saw to cut across the width or length of the panel. Apply masking tape along the cut line to reduce splintering, then sand lightly if needed.

Can the panels be used in a bathroom or kitchen?

The water-resistant fabric backing provides resilience during installation and in areas of occasional moisture. They are not designed for prolonged water exposure or for use in steam rooms. For bathrooms, use them on walls away from showers or baths, where humidity is the main consideration rather than direct water contact.

Can I use the panels around a shower or splashback?

Standard wood panels and acoustic felt backing are not waterproof and should not be used in direct water contact areas such as shower enclosures or behind kitchen splashbacks. For bathrooms, panels work well on dry walls away from the shower zone. For kitchen splashbacks, we recommend glass or tile behind the hob and panels on adjacent walls.

Can the Flutto® panels be used outside?

Flutto® panels are designed for interior use only. They are not weatherproof. For outdoor applications, see our Plaank® composite range or our Nordic Outdoor® thermally modified wood range.

Does Flutto® have acoustic properties?

No. Flutto® is a decorative range designed for visual impact, not sound absorption. For acoustic performance, see our Acupanel® range of slat wall panels.

Is Flutto® fire-rated?

No. Flutto® panels do not carry a fire rating. For fire-rated specifications, see our Acupanel® Fire-Rated range.

Do the panels come ready to fit?

Yes. The surface arrives ready to go up. If you would like to apply a wood oil or treatment to alter or deepen the tone over time, test on a sample first to confirm the result before committing to the full installation. Apply any oils before installing for a clean, even finish.

Do the colours in the photos match ?

We photograph every product as accurately as possible. Because we use real wood and natural materials, subtle variations in grain pattern and tone occur between production batches. This is a characteristic of genuine wood, not a defect. We always recommend ordering a sample to confirm the colour and texture in your own lighting.

How do I care for the panels once fitted?

A soft, dry or lightly damp cloth is all you need. Avoid abrasive cleaners, bleach, or solvents. Real wood veneer ages well when it is left to do so.

What is the minimum bend radius?

Flutto® panels can bend down to approximately 30cm internal radius. For tighter curves, cut the panel into narrower sections first. For columns or pillars, measure the radius and test-bend a cut-off before committing to a full panel. The Flutto® can be bent around a 90-degree corner cleanly if needed, and will show the fabric backing.

What is the Drew & Jonathan Home™ collaboration?

Drew and Jonathan Scott, The Property Brothers, have been working with WVH® over the past year to bring a range of panels to market that reflect their approach to renovation: real materials, genuine quality, nothing decorative for its own sake. Their name is on the box because they were involved in making what is in it.

How does the Flutto® Valley relate to the rest of the Flutto® range?

The Flutto® family includes four profiles: Ridge, Mini Ridge, Slat, and Valley. The slat dimensions are designed to complement one another, so you can mix profiles across a space without the joins feeling accidental. All are flexible, all share the same construction, and all carry the same real wood veneer finish.

Why is a flexible panel better for my project?

Most wall panels are rigid. They work beautifully on flat walls, but they cannot follow a curve. The Flutto® Valley can, with one important consideration: because of its concave profile, the panel can only flex to wrap convex curves, such as columns and curved walls that bow outward. It cannot be reversed to follow a concave recess. If your space has that kind of outward curvature, a flexible panel is not a compromise. It is the right tool.
